Game Description

FTC is a robotics competition where you have to design, build and program your robot from scratch. That doesn’t mean FTC is just about the robot. On the contrary, it’s more about teambuilding, your presentation and the process itself. The games are played on a 12ft. square playing field. Each challenge has different ways of scoring points. A match is played with 4 teams. 2 in the blue alliance and 2 in the read alliance. These alliances are randomly created at the start of the tournament. Your alliance partner in one match may be your opponent in another. Every match starts with a 30 second autonomous period where robots drive on only pre-programmed instructions. After that comes a 2 minute driver controlled period. During the driver controlled period, 2 team members may drive the robot. The alliance with the most points at the end of the match wins.
